Belinda and her twin sister were born on September 18, 2018. From the very beginning, Belinda faced challenges that set her apart. She was born with cerebral palsy and jaundice — conditions that made her first days, and the years that followed, especially difficult.
As Belinda grew, it became clear that she was experiencing developmental delays as a result of her cerebral palsy. Her mother, determined to give her daughter the best possible future, faced an uphill battle. Living in poverty, she struggled to afford the specialized physical therapy (PT) and occupational therapy (OT) that Belinda desperately needed.
That’s when LWA stepped in. Recognizing both Belinda’s potential and her family’s hardship, LWA began providing her with regular PT and OT services at no cost to the family. These therapies are helping Belinda build strength, improve her mobility, and gain greater independence with each passing day.
Thanks to the support of LWA — and the unwavering love of her mother — Belinda is on a journey filled with hope, progress, and possibility.
