A Story of Courage, Love, and Hope — Darlene’s Journey

On October 11, 2023, a beautiful little girl named Darlene came into the world. From her very first breath, Darlene’s life was marked by resilience — born with cerebral palsy and hemiplegia, she faced challenges that most of us could scarcely imagine. Yet, her story became even more extraordinary just one year later.

While traveling with her mother on a public bus, tragedy struck. The bus lost control and began to roll violently down a steep hill. In a single, heart-wrenching moment of profound maternal instinct and love, Darlene’s mother made a split-second decision that would forever define her legacy. She gathered every ounce of her courage and, knowing the danger ahead, threw her precious daughter through the bus window away from the tumbling wreckage. Her sacrifice saved Darlene’s life.

Though Darlene miraculously survived, she suffered a traumatic brain injury. Her brave mother, the hero who gave everything for her child, tragically lost her life that day.

Today, Darlene’s journey continues , filled with hope, perseverance, and the lasting imprint of her mother’s love. Love with Actions stands beside her and her father, providing vital support for her medical care, as well as essential physical and occupational therapy. Together, we work to help Darlene build strength, achieve milestones, and unlock a brighter future.
