Liliane ISHIMWE, born on 3 June 2019 with spina bifida and later hydrocephalus, has faced significant physical and developmental challenges, including paraplegia, partial sensation, left-sided weakness, and mild cognitive delays. Despite experiencing stigma from her father’s family, her mother remained her strongest advocate, ensuring she received proper care and respect.
For the past three years, Liliane has been receiving physiotherapy and occupational therapy at Love With Actions , where she has made remarkable progress, she can now sit independently, walk with support, and use both sides of her body more effectively. She is also thriving socially and attends school through LWA’s education program.
Liliane’s journey reflects resilience, dedicated support, and the transformative power of opportunity. She continues to grow confidently and inspire those around her.
