Ildephonse  twenty one yeas old, he was born into a world of poverty and hardship, facing challenges from the very beginning. Born without tibias in both legs, he encountered discrimination and stigma from his community. His mother, Beatrice, carried him everywhere as he grew up with no opportunity to attend school.

in 2017, Gilbert came across Ildephonse as he struggled to move forward on his knees. When asked how he could help him, Ildephonse expressed a simple but profound wish: to go to school. With the support of Love With Actions , after one year in 2018 Ildephonse received life-changing surgery that amputated both his legs and provided him with prosthetics.

Now equipped with the means to move freely, Ildephonse not only attended school but also excelled in high school. He even found joy in playing wheelchair basketball – a testament to his determination and resilience. Thanks to our donors’ support, his life has been completely transformed for the better.

Despite starting from a place of adversity and obstacles at every turn, Ildephonse’s story is one of triumph over adversity and an inspiring example of how compassion and aid can change lives for the better.
