Daniel was born on September 3, 2012, with Cerebral Palsy. From the very beginning, life presented him and his mother, Speciose, with unimaginable challenges. Shortly after Daniel’s birth, his father abandoned them both — a heartbreak compounded by the stigma surrounding disability in their community. In many places, including theirs, a child’s disability is often unjustly blamed on the mother. Speciose was told repeatedly that she would never amount to anything, and she found herself isolated and struggling to survive.

When Daniel first came to Love With Actions, he was completely dependent on others for everything. He couldn’t hold his head up on his own and would cry in discomfort when therapists tried to help him stretch. The road ahead seemed long and uncertain.

But with love, persistence, and the right support, everything began to change.

Over the past five years, Daniel has made remarkable progress. He can now sit almost on his own and joyfully recognize familiar faces around him. His life — and his mother’s — has been transformed. Love With Actions provided stable housing for Daniel and Speciose, freeing them from life on the streets. Speciose was given employment at LWA as part of the custodial team, restoring her dignity and independence.

Daniel now attends Love With Actions Academy, where he is learning and thriving. Thanks to generous supporters, LWA has been able to provide Daniel with essential monthly seizure medication, life-changing physical and occupational therapy, and nourishing food that has strengthened his body and spirit.

Daniel’s story is one of resilience, hope, and the power of community. With continued support, his journey forward is full of promise.
