Meet Norah, a bright and joyful boy born on October 3, 2019, in Rwanda. Norah lives with cerebral palsy, a condition that makes it difficult for him to walk, crawl, or even use his hands to grasp the toys he longs to play with. His world, though full of curiosity and spirit, has been shaped by physical challenges that require daily strength and resilience.

Norah’s mother, Muhoza Joyeuse, has walked a courageous path of her own. Like many women in Rwanda who give birth to a child with disabilities, Joyeuse faced profound hardship. Shortly after Norah’s birth, his father abandoned the family, leaving Joyeuse to navigate motherhood alone — with love, determination, and an unbreakable bond with her son.

Nearly a year ago, their story took a new turn when they connected with Love With Actions (LWA). Since joining the LWA family, Joyeuse has found a supportive community and access to life-changing resources for Norah. Through the care and compassion of LWA, Norah has been able to socialize with other children — an experience that has opened new doors of joy, connection, and belonging for both him and his mother.

Today, Norah is receiving free Physical and Occupational Therapy through LWA, helping him build strength, flexibility, and independence. His mother speaks with gratitude about how this journey has not only supported Norah’s development but has also been a source of healing for their family.

At Zion, we believe that every child, no matter their abilities, deserves a place to grow, play, and feel loved. Norah’s journey is a beautiful reminder of the power of community, compassion, and unwavering hope.
