Valens was born on September 23, 2003, with cerebral palsy. From the moment he entered the world, his mother, Theresa, knew he would face challenges that required special care and support. Despite her deep love and determination, regular physical therapy was far beyond her reach financially. On top of these difficulties, Theresa and Valens lived under the shadow of violence from Valens’ father. There were many moments when Theresa feared not only for her son’s well-being but for her own life.
Six years ago, everything began to change when Valens and Theresa found Love With Actions. Through this community, Valens has finally been able to access the physical and occupational therapy that he so desperately needed. His progress has been remarkable — not only physically but also emotionally. Together, they have found healing, safety, and a supportive community that embraces them both.
Theresa’s life has also transformed. Grateful for the support she received, she now gives back by helping other parents prepare nutritious meals for their children. Valens continues to receive home-based therapy and essential nutritional support. Thanks to Love With Actions, he also receives milk regularly to help boost his nutrition and strength.
Today, Valens and Theresa are living a life filled with hope, surrounded by a community that uplifts and empowers them every step of the way.
