Honette’s Story: A Journey of Hope and Healing
When Honette was born on 06/06/2016, her beautiful smile lit up every room — but behind that smile was a serious medical challenge. Honette was diagnosed with hydrocephalus, a condition where excess fluid builds up in the brain, putting pressure on her developing body and threatening her life.
Her mother, Noella, faced heartbreak every day, knowing her daughter needed urgent medical care she simply could not afford. “I had nothing to support my beautiful daughter for life,” Noella shared. “I felt powerless, and I didn’t know if Honette could live much longer.”
That’s when Love with Actions stepped in. With the generosity of our supporters and the dedication of our team, we made it possible for Honette to receive life-saving surgery. A shunt was placed in her brain to drain the excess fluid, easing the dangerous pressure and giving her a new chance at life.
But our journey with Honette didn’t stop there. We continue to provide her with regular physical and occupational therapy, helping her strengthen her body and build the skills she needs to thrive. Each step of her progress is a testament to resilience, love, and the power of community.
Noella’s gratitude says it all:
“Without Love with Actions and its staff, I don’t know if Honette could have lived this long. Thank you so much for your incredible and amazing hearts to support our children.”
Honette’s smile is brighter than ever now — a symbol of hope made possible through compassion in action.
