Ornella’s Journey: A Story of Hope and Healing

Ornella was born with both hydrocephalus and epilepsy — two serious conditions that made her young life incredibly difficult. From birth, the buildup of fluid in her brain threatened her health and future, while seizures added further challenges to her day-to-day life. Her mother, Denise, faced unimaginable struggles. With limited resources and no clear path forward, she feared for her daughter’s survival.

That’s when Love with Actions stepped in.

Through the generous support of our community and the tireless efforts of LWA and Uncle Gilbert with Esther, Ornella was able to undergo a life-changing surgery to place a shunt that helps reduce the fluid in her brain. This surgery not only relieved the dangerous pressure but gave Ornella a new chance at life.

Today, Love with Actions continues to walk alongside Ornella and her family. We provide her with ongoing physical and occupational therapy to help her gain strength, improve mobility, and develop the skills she needs to thrive. Her smile and resilience inspire everyone who meets her.
