Born on July 1, 2019, Yvan Imanzi entered this world with a bright smile and a tender heart — and with a unique challenge: Cerebral Palsy. From his first breath, Yvan has shown extraordinary resilience, teaching everyone around him what true strength and courage mean.
Like many families touched by disability, Yvan’s family faced difficult times. Beyond the daily challenges of caring for a child with special needs, they experienced deep pain from stigma and discrimination in their community. Misunderstandings and prejudice left them feeling isolated and unseen. As Yvan’s mother shares, “There were days the sadness was too heavy to carry. The looks, the whispers, the judgments — it crushed me. I felt hopeless.”
But hope found its way back into their lives.
Through the kindness and tireless work of Love with Actions, Yvan’s story began to change. Love with Actions stepped in to provide Yvan with free physical and occupational therapy — opening new possibilities for his growth, mobility, and independence. Beyond therapy, they offered something just as vital: compassion, acceptance, and a safe space for Yvan and his family to be fully seen and embraced.
Today, Yvan continues to make incredible strides. His therapy sessions have helped him build strength, confidence, and joy. His mother’s heart has been lightened through the support of others who understand her journey. “I will always thank Love with Actions for their invaluable support,” she says. “They gave us not only therapy but dignity, hope, and family.”
Yvan’s story is not just one of challenge — it is a story of love in action. It is a reminder that when communities come together with understanding and empathy, lives transform.
Thank you for being part of Yvan’s journey.
Together, we can continue breaking stigma, building inclusion, and showing that every child — no matter their ability — is worthy of love, respect, and opportunity.
