Born on April 15, 2011, Yvonne came into this world facing challenges that few of us can imagine. From birth, she was diagnosed with a serious congenital malformation that affected both her arms and legs, as well as an intellectual disability that made everyday life even more difficult.
Shortly after her birth, Yvonne’s father abandoned the family, leaving her mother alone to face the heavy burden of caregiving and survival. With no stable income or support, Yvonne and her mother endured years of hardship — living homeless on the streets, often resorting to begging just to get by. The weight of uncertainty and daily struggles was immense.
But Yvonne’s story did not end there. Thanks to the compassion of Love with Actions and the generosity of its donors, a new chapter began. Today, Yvonne receives regular Physical and Occupational Therapy to help her develop her abilities and improve her quality of life. Her seizures are managed with consistent medication, provided through the support of the organization.
Perhaps most importantly, Yvonne and her mother are no longer homeless. Through the kindness of donors, Love with Actions pays for safe and stable housing, offering them not just shelter but a renewed sense of dignity and hope.
We give heartfelt thanks to all who have made this transformation possible. Your actions have not only changed Yvonne’s life but have given her mother the strength to continue caring and dreaming for her child.
This is what love looks like in action.
